VT Postcards 

Any travel picture on VirtualTourist can be sent as an electronic postcard. It's a great way to invite your friends outside of VT to take a look at your pages and pics, or to show a friend some interesting scenes and information you found on VT. To send a postcard, just click on the photo to enlarge it, then click the 'send picture as postcard' link above each photo. You can send as many travel postcards as you like. It's fun, free, easy to send and easy to view.

1. How Do I Send a Postcard?
To send a postcard, just click on the photo to enlarge it, then click the 'send picture as postcard' link above each photo.

2. Can I Send Pics Inside of VT? What About Outside?
You can send postcards to any valid email address inside VT and outside of VT.

3. Does VT Collect the Email Addresses We Send To?
NO! VT uses the email address you enter ONLY to send the postcards. Email addresses are NOT collected, and postcard addresses are NOT used in any other way. In fact, Email addresses aren't even saved at all once you send the postcard.

4. Will I Get Notified If the Person Picks Up the Postcard?
No. Sending a postcard is just like sending email. You won't be notified if the person has picked up the card.

5. Can I Send to More Than One Person at a Time?
Yes. Simply enter email address separated by commas.

6. Do I Have to Be a Member to Send/View Postcards?
No. Both members and non-members can send and view VT postcards.

7. Can I Fake a VT Address?
No. In order to send from a VT address, you must be logged in and you can only use your valid VT membername. You can enter a different email address, but not one inside of VT.

8. When Sending To Someone Inside VT, Can I Just Use the Membername?
Yes. You can enter a VT member, or Membername@vtmail.com.

9. What Are Some Postcard Sending Etiquette Guidelines?
Generally it's considered rude and annoying to send wide mailings announcing your new pages. If you wish to draw attention to your new pages by sending a postcard, it's considered good form to ask first and to only send to friends. Repeating postcard spammers will be warned and will have their accounts frozen and/or removed.

10. I Have External Mail Coming In Blocked. Can I Still Send Postcards Out?
Yes. There's no effect.
