Well the scenery around Yangshuo is exactly the scenery everyone has heard about and seen (if you have watched the movie "The Painted Veil". The towering Karst mountains in strange shapes, the peaceful Li river with bamboo rafts floating up and down,and the picturesque Chinese in their conical hats labouring in the rice paddies with their cute Buffalo... this is what you will see,... of course together with hordes of foreign tourists.However it is still beautiful, and if you get out of the town and into the villages along the river it is really stunning scenery.
