short but sweet We took an all inclusive package long weekend to Rhodes (Thursday to Sunday) not my usual style of travelling,but having discovered that taking only a flight and booking separate accomodation would work out much more expensive we went for it and had a lot of fun. Rhodes is a fun destination for young and old, with plenty to see and do ,and the wonderful Greek welcome made it all the more enjoyable. |
the old town most of our time we wandered around the twisting streets of the medieval town of Rhodes, within the city wall. Each alleyway provided another picturesque view.There are hundreds of little coffee bars and restaurants waiting for you,but it is more fun to explore up off the main roads where the tourist shops finish and see how the people live ,just as they did hundreds of years ago (except for the occasional car/vespa) and every so often you get a glimpse of the Mediterranean sea gleaming through an archway at the end of a cobbled street!
