Great haven in the middle of crazy Hopset. good place for visiting Hampi. (take an autorickshaw or taxi) Hotel has 3 restaurants, shops ,and staff are very helpful.

We stayed here both at the start and the end of our trip.The staff were helpful and attentive, did our laundry(standard in India!!)
It was a pleasure to stay there.

Unique Qualities: v. good position. Internet use. Taxis always waiting outside!

Nice little place right next to Colva Beach in Goa. They took us right to the train station in a little shuttle van.The people were friendly ,there is as pool and a good restaurant.
next to the beach, has good rooms with attached bath for Rs 400/500 (Rs 300 during the off-season), and cottages in a small garden for Rs 850 to Rs 1500. After the high season, there are good discounts. It has exchange facilities and a good restaurant. Recommended.

Woodlands is pleasant and friendly and has a good restaurant .You can eat breakfast there and then set off on your days' sightseeing in old Cochin.They also have a tourist desk which will book tours for you .You HAVE to do the backwaters cruise in the rice boat (see travelog) it is unbelievable

Unique Qualities: Lotus Cascades/Jaya Cafe in the Woodlands Hotel, MG Rd, has very good veg thalis for Rs 50 and good North and South Indian food. It is reasonably priced. Recommended.
